Château de Charmes Is for Sale
After 10 years of intensive restoration, this château in the Drôme department in southeastern France awaits its new owner
Château de Charmes, long abandoned, squatted in, and vandalized, now presents an entirely different look.
Under the drive of its young owner, Nicolas Chenivesse, this monument listed on the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments (ISMH) has undergone a wide-ranging restoration campaign and is now fully habitable, and lived in year-round.
As he explains in the interview conducted by Olivier Schweizer (see below), Nicolas Chenivesse has reached the end of a chapter and wants to pass the torch so he can start a new project.
Château de Charmes has been put up for sale by the Patrice Besse agency.
